When it comes to free directory assistance from any phone, you have LOTS of choices. They differ in some important ways, so try them all out and see which one(s) you prefer. You may want to try them all every so often just to see what's new! Grin!

I prefer the ones that have operators to help when the automation doesn't recognize me and that also don't restrict me to only business searches - sometimes I need to find people, too! You may have different preferences.

This is really done well and has gone into my address book on my cell phone. I used to have bills of $10-$20 for directory assistance calls on Cinglular. While in most cases I just look up business via my new phones mapping software - this is a nice feature if I'm driving.

The cell phone companies must be mad - They were making 5%-10% of our monthly fee with directory assistance calls.
